Hello!

My name is Ana Melo and I am a therapist and coach. I am very passionate about people and their personal growth. I dare saying that personal growth is at the top of my priorities. I think I have always been like this but as an introvert in a super extrovert family and society I felt I was wrong by giving priority to intangible goals over tangible, to suffer deeply from events that were not external catastrophes but instead subtle, quiet agressions and with all honesty I believed that if I put personal growth at the top of my list it must be because there was something deeply broken with me.

After much therapy, a few courses, (quiet) a bit of suffering and getting to know many different people from different backgrounds I realised there were more people like me and there was nothing wrong with them. (me !!!) Actually, quiet the opposite: I thought these people were lovely to be around. They were sensitive, empathetic, deep and intelligent and had a big willingness to devote their life to helping others. And, most of them were also funny. They were big people to my eyes !

I now divide my time between helping people on their journey back to themselves and working as a visual artist, the two passions that keep me going. I can offer my best to the people I help because I do my art and I am a better artist because I also work helping people. It’s not an easy balance but one I can not live without. In my free time I love doing nothing, being in nature, exercising (a lot!) and laughing with friends (or strangers). I recently started singing too ! I am an avid reader and like spas, gardens, ice cream and cinemas.

Olá! O meu nome é Ana Melo e
eu sou terapeuta e coach. Sou apaixonada pela natureza humana. Atrevo-me a dizer que crescimento pessoal é uma das minhas prioridades e acredito que o que todos vimos aqui fazer é evoluirmos enquanto seres humanos de modo a vivermos mais tempo de um lugar de amor, laços e liberdade em oposição a amarras. Sempre gostei e pendi para esta esfera da vida. Porém, enquanto pessoa introvertida numa família e sociedade super extrovertida, eu senti desde nova que havia algo de quebrado e de errado comigo, que era mau dar prioridade a objectivos invisíveis em vez de materiais, que era estranho sofrer profundamente com eventos que não fossem catástrofes externas mas sim agressões subtis, lentas e invisíveis ; senti que se tivesse como prioridade desenvolvimento pessoal era porque havia algo de muito errado comigo.

Depois de muita terapia, alguns cursos, muito sofrimento e especialmente, depois de conhecer pessoas de caminhos de vida diferentes, apercebi me de que havia muito mais gente como eu e de que não havia nada de errado com elas, ou seja: comigo! Precisamente o contrário: Eu achava que estas pessoas eram profundas, inteligentes, sensíveis, empáticas e com um coração enorme. A maior parte delas era também engraçada! Ao contrário do que o que eu sempre tinha achado, eram pessoas enormes aos meus olhos.

Eu agora divido o meu tempo entre ajudar pessoas a viverem uma vida mais livre (interiormente) etrabalhar enquando artista plástico, duas paixões que se nutrem uma à outra e que me nutrem a mim. Se quiserem saber mais o meu CV está abaixo, no final desta página.
